About Prospecting In Gold & The Grab a Pig Card Game

Prospecting In Gold (PIG) is an independent British games company. We launched the first game "Grab a Pig" in our Grab a Games range and indeed our first game on the 9th of October 2003.

Since then the demand for the Grab a Pig card game has been high thanks to the support of the public who are really enjoying the game with friends and family of all ages. We have had testimonials from people up to the age of 87. To view some of the testimonials click here.

Because of the brightly coloured Disneyesque animal graphics people often make the mistake of thinking that this is simply a family game; it is only when they play it that they realise it is also a fantastic party game for adults.

The Grab a Pig card game truly is suitable for anybody from age six onwards. It was first conceived in the year 2000 whilst having a Christmas tipple or two and we have worked tirelessly since to produce this fun, high quality, British made game.

At Prospecting In Gold we worked hard to produce a high quality product that fitted it's box perfectly. For this reason we worked with British companies to produce the components, the packaging and even to box the games ready for sale.

The printing and design work was all sourced and produced in Suffolk as we wanted to support local companies. The pencils came from Leicestershire, the mould for the pigs was made in Kent from designs of Portia, the pigs were produced in Surrey and the games were all packaged in Norfolk.

It was decided to create our own pig based on Portia so they would be unique; when you buy the Grab a Pig card game you will be getting a game that is truly unique in design.

Finally the Grab a Pig card game was made to perfectly fit it's box so that it would be compact enough for you to take it with you when you go on holiday, to parties or just out with mates.
